What happens when I upload files?
As soon as you select files, your browser begins encryption — before anything goes to the internet. The encrypted data is then transmitted via multiple parallel connections simultaneously, guaranteeing maximum speed. If the connection drops, the upload seamlessly resumes where it was interrupted.
Email or Link?
You have two options: Send by email — enter the recipient's email, confirm your sender address with a one-time code, and Fairsend delivers the download link. Or: Create link only — you get a download link that you can share yourself.

What happens at the recipient?
The recipient clicks the download link. Their browser downloads the encrypted data and decrypts it automatically — locally, without detour through our servers. If a password was set, they must enter it first. The entire process takes only a few seconds for typical files.
Proof of Delivery
After download, Fairsend automatically creates a cryptographic integrity proof — the mathematically verifiable evidence that the correct files arrived completely and unchanged. You can find it on the tracking page of your transfer.
🗑️ Was passiert danach?
Automatic Deletion
In the free plan, files are automatically and irrevocably deleted after the first download. No backups, no copies, no recovery possible. Premium users can set how long and how often files remain available.
Why this is more secure
The shorter sensitive data sits on a server, the lower the risk. Fairsend is a transfer service — not cloud storage. Your files are transferred and deleted, not archived.

Encrypted Messages
In addition to files, you can send text messages with E2E encryption — via email or link, with optional self-destruct.
