About Fairsend
Fairsend is a service of Fairsend GmbH from Bad Mergentheim, Germany, for the encrypted transfer of files and messages.
Who we are
Fairsend has been in development since 2019. Fairsend is developed by weinmann-edv GmbH & Co. KG from Bad Mergentheim. The lead developer is Abraham Weinmann, computer scientist and IT forensics specialist. Fairsend is operated by Fairsend GmbH, whose managing director is Josef Weinmann.
Why Fairsend exists
Fairsend is made for files that should not sit openly in an email inbox. They are encrypted in the browser, stored on servers in Germany and deleted automatically when they expire. Recipients do not need an account.
How Fairsend is used
Some typical examples:
Law firm
A law firm sends draft contracts to its clients and sees when the files were downloaded.
Medical practice or laboratory
A practice sends test results protected by an access code. It gives the code to the recipient separately from the link, for example by phone.
Agency
An agency delivers large video and print files to its clients. The link expires automatically, after which the files are deleted.
Tax advisor
A tax advisor requests receipts via an upload link. Clients upload their files without creating an account.
