The situation
Public offices and municipalities exchange building permit documents, expert reports, personnel documents and procurement documents with citizens, planning firms and other bodies. Plans and scans are often too large for mailboxes, and external partners are not connected to internal specialist applications. Staff then fall back on data carriers or freely available transfer services that nobody oversees. Social data and personnel files also need particular care when exchanged.

Team includes roles, four-eyes approval, audit log and large transfers. For many seats and special requirements, Enterprise is available by arrangement.
Working as a team
Departments work as a team with fixed roles, and owners and admins see all team transfers. Password protection, recipient code and four-eyes approval can be made mandatory centrally, and expiry period and permitted countries can be preset. Your IT can connect staff through the company login and the Outlook add-in.

Is there a data processing agreement?
For processing personal data on your behalf, you generally need a data processing agreement. Please contact us about this before use through the contact page, subject Data protection.
How do we coordinate use with the data protection officer?

Does Fairsend have an approval for our federal state or operator?
Fairsend does not claim approvals by individual federal states or operators. Whether the service can be used in your organization is for your office to decide under its own rules.
Does Fairsend replace specialist applications or the electronic file?
No. Fairsend is a transfer service, not an archive. When the period ends, the files are deleted. For records and formal service of documents, keep using the channels intended for them.
Do citizens need an account?
No. No account is needed to upload through an upload link or to download. Each upload link works once.
How does the Outlook add-in work?
It runs in classic and new Outlook as well as Outlook on the web. You upload files and insert the download link into the email. The add-in is part of the plans with API access, Team and Enterprise.
Can we try Fairsend beforehand?
Yes. The Free plan is enough for a first transfer to one recipient. There, a transfer is available for one complete download. You should send official data only after agreement with your data protection officer.
