The situation
Schools work with support plans, expert reports, grade lists and documents about pupils, often data of minors. At universities, application documents, theses, exam documents and large research data come on top. Teachers and lecturers often use private mailboxes or freely available services because files are too large for the mail systems. It then becomes hard to trace where the data is and how long it stays accessible.

You accept applications and documents through a card on your website. Each submission becomes a request of its own, and you set a daily limit yourself.
Password protection from Premium
You pass the password on separately from the link, for example in conversation.
Custom expiry from Premium
You decide how long the link stays valid. After that, the files are deleted automatically.

Team includes several seats, roles, the upload widget and the audit log for schools and institutes. For whole universities, Enterprise is available by arrangement.
Working as a team
The school office, school management and teachers send from a shared team. Owners and admins can make password protection or recipient code mandatory for everyone. The shared address book accepts lists via CSV.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a data processing agreement?
For processing personal data on your behalf, you generally need a data processing agreement. Please contact us about this before use through the contact page, subject Data protection.
How do we coordinate use with the data protection officer?
Involve the data protection officer of your school, your operator or your university early. Technical details are on the Security page. For questions, they can reach us through the contact page.
Is Fairsend approved for schools in our federal state?
Fairsend does not claim approvals by individual federal states or operators. Which services are permitted, clarify with your school operator and the rules of your federal state.
Can we collect a whole class with one upload link?
Each upload link works once. For many submissions, the upload widget is suitable from Team, where each submission becomes a request of its own.
Do parents or students need an account?
No. No account is needed to upload through an upload link or to download.
Is Fairsend suitable for research data?
For exchange, yes, up to the size of your plan. Fairsend is not an archive, and the files are deleted when the period ends.
What is possible on the Free plan?
It is enough for individual transfers to one recipient. A transfer is available for one complete download and is deleted afterwards. You should send official data only after agreement with the data protection officer.
